Image Format Converter Guide

Toolorix converts supported browser-decodable images to PNG, JPG or WebP. It can also export the uploaded file as raw Base64 text. File contents are processed locally in the browser and are not uploaded to Toolorix servers.

Important: Browser support varies. Common BMP files may be accepted as input when the browser can decode them, but Toolorix does not claim native BMP or GIF output. Animated images are not preserved.

Supported operations

OperationCurrent support
PNG outputYes
JPG outputYes, transparency is replaced with white
WebP outputYes where the browser supports WebP encoding
Raw Base64 text exportYes
BMP/GIF outputNo
Base64 text decodingNo
Batch ZIPYes, for successful conversions

How to convert

  1. Open the Image Format Converter.
  2. Select one or more supported images.
  3. Choose PNG, JPG, WebP or Base64.
  4. For JPG or WebP, choose a quality level.
  5. Convert, inspect the result and download it.

What changes during conversion?

Canvas conversion can remove EXIF metadata, GPS data, comments, colour profiles and animation. Converting a transparent image to JPG replaces transparent pixels with white. Re-encoding can also change file size and visual quality.

Privacy

The image bytes used by the converter remain in the browser. The page may still load ordinary analytics, advertising or third-party interface resources, which can receive standard page-use data but should not receive the image file itself.

Common problems

The result is larger: PNG is lossless and can be larger than JPG or WebP. WebP is unavailable: try a current browser. A BMP will not open: that BMP subtype may not be supported by your browser. The ZIP fails: download files individually and report the browser and operating system through the contact page.

Accuracy note: This guide describes the current Toolorix implementation. It intentionally does not promise GIF conversion, BMP output, Base64 decoding, perfect metadata preservation or universal browser compatibility.
